Angel Climent was born in Spain and began his musical studies as a chorister. At the age of nine he entered the Valencia Conservatoire to study piano and remained as a student there until 1961. He moved to Ireland in 1962, taking up the position of choirmaster and organist at the Cathedral of St Mary and St Ann in Cork. Following a two-year period of military service in Africa, he returned to Cork in 1966 as organist and choirmaster in St Francis Church. He also joined the staff of the Cork School of Music, teaching keyboard studies there until his retirement in 1999.

As a composer, his output comprises chamber, instrumental and choral works, including several Masses and other sacred works. A CD of his music, This is my Will, was released in 2001.
