Ed Bennett's new portrait CD is launched on 8 March

Diatribe Records release a new portrait disc of Ed Bennett’s virtuosic ensemble Decibel, featuring a collection of the UK-based Irish composer’s compositions.

The album takes its title from the substantial work Togetherness, which explores the possibility that working together whilst retaining our own unique and individual identities is the key to a brighter future. Other works include Bennett’s reimagining of the Stiff Little Fingers song, Suspect Device, and his violin and ensemble work Heavy Western performed by Barbara Lueneburg.

The release of Togetherness on 8 March coincides with a UK and Ireland tour by Decibel supported by the PRS Foundation’s Beyond Borders, a co-commissioning and touring programme. The tour begins on the 8th in Birmingham as part of Frontiers @ Birmingham Conservatoire, and follows with performances at Cork School of Music (9 March), Sounds Like This Festival in Leeds College of Music (14 March), City Concerts Seres, London City University (17 April), and PLUG Festival, Glasgow (8 May).
