The Contemporary Music Centre will be represented at the 58th Annual General Assembly and Congress of Jeunesses Musicales International, which is being held from 23-27 July at the University of Limerick. The congress, which is being hosted by the Irish branch this year, brings together representatives of JM member sections from over thirty countries around the world.
The main focus of the 2003 General Assembly is a series of workshops covering the topics of Audience Development, Young Talent Promotion, Musical Empowerment, and Youth Orchestras. CMC will be participating in the 'Info Mart', which offers Irish arts organizations an opportunity to display information materials and inform delegates about their activities.
Jeunesses Musicales International provides young people with a broad access to music, both as performers and listeners, enabling them to develop through music across all boundaries.
