NEW ON THE SITE

CMC takes part in Culture Night on 14 September with performances from electronic musicians Ian McDonnell, Ewan Hennelly (Muttermal) and Francis Heery.
CMC will host the launch of books on Raymond Deane and Aloys Fleischmann on 21 September.
An Online Survey is being carried out by CMC as part of its Recording Feasibility Study and the deadline for responses is 14 September.
CMC's new music Salon series begins on 27 September with cellist Kate Ellis.
The second workshop in the New Music Connects project takes place on 28 September in Galway.
WHAT'S HAPPENING IN SEPTEMBER?
Concorde performs new works by Irish composers in Galway on 16 September and Dublin on 23 September.
Ian Wilson's eight string quartet is performed at the official opening of the Cork School of Music on 14 September.
The Fidelio Trio perform works by Irish composers at the Música Viva Festival in Portugal.
New works for soprano saxophone and string quartet by Ciarán Farrell and Greg Caffrey will be performed on 15 September at the Wigmore Hall, London.
Andrew Hamilton's work will be performed at the Gaudeamus Music Week.
