In shadows features one of Ian Wilson's most significant recent works, re:play for (improvising) tenor saxophone, string quartet, piano and double bass. Partnering this remarkable piece are two recent string quartets, Across a clear blue sky and im Schatten. The works are performed by the RTÉ Vanbrugh Quartet, saxophonist Cathal Roche, pianist Hugh Tinney and double bassist Malachy Robinson.
