'Can music express?' Frank Corcoran asks. 'My music', he says, 'learned letting go a long time ago.' Corcoran's Second and Third Symphonies (1981 and 1994) explore the notion of randomness against musical order. The Fourth Symphony (1996), is an exercise in material constructed and destructed to form dramatic images. Performed by the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland, conductor Colman Pearce.
