Patrick Zuk was born in 1968. His mother is Irish and his father is Polish. After early studies at the piano he studied composition with the late Professor Aloys Fleischmann. He has written vocal, choral and orchestral music. Works include ‘Ritual Dance’, a commission from the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra, a ‘Requiem’ for soli, mixed choir and orchestra, commissioned by the Irish Youth Choir, and a ‘Sonata for Flute and Piano’ commissioned by the principal flautist of the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra, William Dowdall.
